18th Liburnia Film Festival, at 8:15 pm on little Summer Stage in Opatija, opens with the world premier of the movie Storkman, a story about Malena and Klepetan by Tomislav Jelinčić. But, the program starts even before the big opening – at 6 pm, as the part of the program The Standby, at the Villa Antonio we bring the movie Stieg Larsson: The man who played with fire by Henrik Georgsson.
Tomislav Jelinčić is known to many as the RTL's host, but behind him is seven documentary movies, and the newest Storkman, brings the warm story about the most famous stork in the Croatia and about Stjepan who takes care about her for already 28 years. On LFF's stage with Tomislav, there will also be the main protagonist Stjepan, but Malena, event though it was announced that she will come, stayed at home because Klepetan is staying in Croatia for few more days.
The program will, before the main one on the little Summer stage, start with the projection of the movie Stieg Larsson: The man who played with fire, which is the first of seven movies from the program The Standby of which we will watch at the LFF. Henrik Georgsson told the story about the tireless investigator of Swedish fascism, to the public better known as the Trillogy Millenium.
In the second program slot, which starts at the 10:30 pm on the little Summer Stage, the program will continue with the movies in the concurention for the prize of 18th LFF. The first is the awarded movie from Goran Dević In the name of the Republic of Croatia which follows Marko Francišković who has, from the individual who has decided to change the society, became the object deprived from the freedom and closed in the psychiatric establishment.
Next we are watching My Universe by Yuliya Molina which has won the award for the best movie at the Ljubljana's FEKK last weekend. The author follows the complicated relationship between the mother, the Russian immigrant, and her daughter, the femministic street artist.
Karlo Vorih's movie Mila closed the first night. the film tells Mila's traumatic story because of which she moved away from Croatia.
The program in Villa Anotnio is free, but the number of seats is restricted because of epidemiological situation. The daily tickets for the program on the little Summer Stage can be bought on the MojeKarte.hrsite and at the entrance. The price of the daily ticket is 15 kunas. Please come earlier to all the projections to avoid the crowdness on the entrance.
