Our long-time visitors to Liburnia Film Festival already know that, apart from great documentaries, documentary makers, film lovers and friends, they can also expect to symbolically say goodbye to summer in the cinema under Liburnian stars. Apart from films, there are workshops, discussions about films, socialising and music. 14th LFF will be opened by the audio-visual group from Zagreb, Žen, and closed by Rijeka's This Connection.
On the first day of the festival, on Monday, 22 August, after the opening of the festival and film program on the Summer stage, the audience is invited to Old School Pub where they will get the chance to listen to one of the best Croatian indie-rock band - Žen. The four-member audiovisual band called ŽEN plays with gender stereotypes, crosses and connects the boundaries of audiovisual art, evokes a journey colored with messages sung as duo or trio, immersed in a progressive symbiosis of guitar, bass, drums and synthesizers. The concert starts at midnight, and the entrance is free.

Organizers will treat the audience with a great concert at the end of the festival as well. On Friday, 26 August, after the film program and winner announcements (at 10 PM), This Connection will hold a concert at Old School Pub. After a two-year break and many ‘where-have-you-gone’ questions from fans, band previously known as Disco'n'Action is here to deliver a new sound and new stuff. As their first point of launch they chose – Liburnia Film Festival!
