This year, documentary authors are competing for six jury awards and an audience award. Members of the jury are: film critic and journalist  Marko Njegić; our festival's Italian guest, chief editor of a film and audiovisual industry magazine "Cinema&Video International" Carolina Mancini; musician, sound technician and producer Zoran Medved; last year's LFF winners - director Tiha K. Gudac (awarded for the best film of 13th Liburnia Film Festival, film The Naked Island) and editor Dragan von Petrović (best editing of 13th Liburnia Film Festival, film The Naked Island).

All winners will receive unique sculptures of Liburnian artist Saša Jantolek. Directors and producers of the best film chosen by the audience and jury will be awarded with a prize of 1.000 USD (per movie). 

This year, eight films are competing for the best regional film award, awarded to authors or productions coming from Istria, Lika-Senj County and Primorje-Gorski Kotar County. Winner of the regional award will be given direct entry to workshop BDC Discoveries with a 50% discount for entry fee, ensured by Balkan Documentary Center, while best director will be given direct entry to Ex Oriente Film, ensured by Institute of documentary films - IDF from Prague. Co-organizer Restart will make the DCP for the best regional film team and the team of best film chosen by the audience and jury.
