Hotel Opatija was built in 1888. From the time of Austro-Hungary until today, it has changed, expanded and continued its existence in several countries. At the current stage, the hotel is closed for guests and its employee Ivanka performs the only remaining duty there. Large, once pompous spaces are now empty and neglected, while their walls seem to dread the future and the final judgment for the building, simultaneously absorbing its past. The hotel is also a quiet place of private stories, personal memories and attachments.
