Vedran Ružić
Vedran Ružić (August 26, 1986, Rijeka) is a visual artist and jazz musician (double bass and bass guitar). He attended the Jazz Conservatory in Klagenfurt, and graduated in 2018 from the Academy of Applied Arts in Rijeka, majoring in painting. He has thirty solo and fifteen joint exhibitions in galleries in Croatia and abroad. For the past few years, he has focused on a multimedia approach to art. All this time Ruzic has been researching how musicians see colors through tones, chords, shapes; and finally gave a series of lectures entitled Connecting Music and Painting - which was ultimately the subject of his disserta-tion. In 2020 and 2022 he went to Berlin for a residence at the "Institut Fur Alles Mogliche". He is the author of four jazz albums and the winner of the Porin Award, the Status Music Award, and a special recognition from the Academy of Applied Arts in Rijeka.
