Katarina Zrinka Matijević

CV:

Katarina Zrinka Matijević was born in Zagreb in 1973. She obtained a degree in Film and TV Directing at the Academy of Dramatic Art in 2002, and holds a degree in Philosophy and Comparative Literature from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb. To date she has directed and written about fifteen documentaries and short films screened at festivals across the world. Her student film Duel won awards at prominent student festivals as well as the Jelena Rajković Award and the Oktavijan Award, the Grand Prix at the Days of Croatian Film. Her second documentary Of Cows and Men (2000, co-directed with Nebojša Slijepčević) was screened at major documentary festivals all over the world. She directed her 2003 feature-length documentary Peščenopolis and her 2016 medium-length documentary A Two Way Mirror for Factum production.
