Synopsis:

The project «Forever» is a documentary-experimental short film that lasts 15 minutes. It is about the passing of life and the longevity of the life's greatest values. Documented recordings of the protagonist, R.J. (88), around whose life story the non-linear narrative is bulit, are used in the film. The passing of life is shown through the simbolic use of water as the main driver of the story that metaphorically depicts the protagonist's love life, while the scenery around the river Drava and the city of Varaždin, as well as, all other scenes in which water appears in various states, are the main frames within which the past and present of a woman occurr. The main goal of the young director is to discuss the third age and love as the main backbone of old age, which needn't represent sorrow but rather joy that should be enjoyed in every single moment. Every age should be understood, accepted and we ought find ourselves in it, as well as, find pleasure in our surroundings. The film was shot in Varaždin at the beginning of 2015, at a nursing home and on location near the river Drava. The filmmaking process involved student participation regarding production, promotion and film presentation and as such, it encourages young artists and students to tackle improtant societal and/or individual issues through the free film form.
