Synopsis:

If you had to leave your home in fear of your life, what would you take along? They know the answer. They have lost everything. While others are in control of their own destiny, they feel like nobody. They are asylum seekers in a country that doesn't like foreigners.

O redateljima:

Barbara Matejčić je slobodna novinarka s adresom u Zagrebu. Piše za tiskane i online medije u Hrvatskoj i regiji, uglavnom o društvenim temama i ljudskim pravima. Članica je odbora i koordinatorica za Hrvatsku danske mreže za istraživačko novinarstvo u jugoistočnoj Europi Scoop. Nagrađena je za najbolje praćenje LGBT tema u Hrvatskoj od 2000. do 2010.

Nina Urumov rođena je 1984. godine u Zagrebu gdje je završila Pravni fakultet. Za vrijeme studija volontirala je u UNHCR-u Hrvatska, na ZAGIMUN-u i na Zagreb Film Festivalu. Pohađala je nekoliko radionica dokumentarnih filmova u Zagrebu, a 'I am nobody' je prvi film koji je napravila.

About the directors:

Based in Zagreb, Barbara Matejčić is a freelance journalist focused on social affairs and human rights. She writes regularly for print and online media in Croatia and the Balkan region (Jutarnji list, Forum, Balkan Insight, Vienna Review…). Barbara is also a committee member and Croatian coordinator for SCOOP, the Danish network for investigative journalism in Eastern and Southeastern Europe. She was awarded for the best covering of LGBT rights in the last decade (2000-2010).

Nina Urumov was born in 1984 in Zagreb, where she graduated from the Faculty of Law. During her studies she volunteered for UNHCR Croatia, ZAGIMUN (Zagreb International Model United Nations) and Zagreb Film Festival. She attended several documentary film workshops in Zagreb. "I am nobody“ is her film debut.
